OUR TUNES for Fiddlepalooza! 2024

  • “Looper Class” may include Suzuki review repertoire and new “by ear” activities.
It is expected that you are current in your Suzuki review.
  • Fiddle classes will focus primarily on the ‘new’ tune for each class level, but also may include tunes from our Fiddlepalooza review list and new “by ear” tunes that you will learn in class.
  • Violists are encouraged to play the violin tunes, either using shifting or playing down an octave as necessary, if there is no viola transcription for that specific tune.
  • Cellists and bassists will primarily play bass lines to the tunes, but may also learn the melody of the tune if they wish.
  • Our review tunes are listed below and will be included in class and in the fiddle jam session at the end of the workshop. Please learn and/or review as many of these tunes as you can. The tunes are in order of level of difficulty. It is assumed that these tunes will be learned in order, since upper level tunes will require technique and knowledge of previous tunes.
  • If you would like to refer to the sheet music for the fiddle tunes or take notes during class, you will need to bring your own music stand to the workshop.
  • These resources are provided for Fiddlepalooza participants for individual use only. Please do not share this webpage with others or post the audio or print files on youtube or other social media.
